Payment setup

Payments for your store go to your own payment account. Drop Merchant never sees or stores card numbers or CVV. Buyers pay on the provider's secure page.

Stripe

1. Open Settings → Payments.
2. Paste your Stripe secret key (sk_live_…, or sk_test_… for test mode). It's encrypted at rest and never shown again.
3. In the Stripe dashboard, add a webhook endpoint with the URL shown on the page:

https://<your-app>/api/v1/webhooks/stripe/<connection-id>

4. Subscribe to checkout.session.completed, payment_intent.payment_failed, charge.refunded and charge.dispute.created.
5. Paste the webhook signing secret (whsec_…) back into Drop Merchant.

Access is granted only when a verified webhook confirms that the amount and currency match the order. Webhooks are idempotent, so retries never grant access twice.

Bank transfer

Enable it and write your payment instructions. Buyers see the instructions and a reference number. Their order stays pending until you confirm receipt in Orders.

Sandbox

The sandbox lets you and your team walk through checkout → order → email → student access without real money. It's shown only to logged-in team members previewing the store. Buyers never see it. Sandbox orders are flagged as test orders.

PayPal

Integration pending. The adapter is in place but isn't active yet.

Taxes and currency

Prices use each product's currency. The server recomputes totals, including coupons, at checkout. Tax is not calculated automatically; include tax in your prices where required.
